This photo is so painful for me that I almost didn't put it up here for fear of being made fun of again. That's a pain that you don't want to feel again, you know? And no matter how old you get, you never forget what it felt like.
But I'm doing it for Sign Gurl. Because I love her. Yes, she's a blogger. We have never met in person but here's what I know about her. She is real and honest. That makes her vulnerable. She loves her family. She's fun, and now she's worried that if she goes to the blog meet in Michigan people may not like her as well because she's (in her words) a big girl.
Sign Gurl, you bet everybody puts their best pics up. It's not just you. That's just common sense. Nobody looks good 24/7. We all try to make our best presentation because sadly, we DO get judged by how we look. And nobody knows better than me how bad that sucks.
I won't be in Michigan with you but I will make myself vulnerable for you. That's what friends do. You go with your heart. And do what's comfortable. I'd be there with you if I could.
(If I get made fun of again....you'll be here, right?)
I love you too. That's one good thing that's come out of all the many hours I've spent on this blasted computer.
Sign Gurl, Milky, Roxie, and I all have your back. I don't know how Roxie grew up but trust me, Milky and I can handle most anything that comes round the bend. LOL!
And then, there's Ethel. If she sounds in too, you might as well have the whole marine corp with you.
They're gonna love you. How could they not?

I have tears in my eyes for two reasons.
First because of the friend that you are. Only you would do something (again) to make me feel better about myself. I thank you for that.
Second, I cry for the dear little girl that you were. I think you were beautiful! That smile could melt anyone's heart. I'm crying for the sad little girl in all of us who took other people's crap because of what we looked like, what we wore or how little money we had.

First I think you look cute Craby. Second what an awesome person you are for doing this for Sign Gurl. I already made up my mind that you were one super person and then you go and do something like this. It is dissapointing you will not be able to be at the meetup. I would love to actually meet you.
I know Sign Gurl is concerned although I have not read her blog yet. I only met her (online) back in November and I knew right away that she was a super person that I was hoping to get to know. Even though we live close by we have not met in person. I am really looking forward to finally getting to meet her. And you know what, I happen to think you look very nice.
Anyway since I have never been a Hottie Mc Hot Hot myself sure, I pay attention to what someone looks like but that is such a small part of what I notice. And I must say there are a small handful of people that I consider me favorite people and Craby and Sign Gurl are among them. (I had to include Crabby so I can go for a ride some day in that awesome car :) just kidding)
There I go writing a short story (that is not that short) again. Craby you are an awesome person and so are you Sign Gurl. You will do great on Friday, just you watch.

Sign gurl, ya don't know me of course but if ya let a little ol' thing like your size prevent ya from doing something that you know you really want to do then it seems to me that you are letting those with pre-concieved notions ~ win. YOU GO GURL !!
I'm no skinny chick either and to top it all off I'm short too. (didn't someone write a song about how much short people suck )?
