I had the option of leaving her in the doggie hospital but around here if you opt to do that for 3 days you might as well put your house on the market and sell all your clothes which in my case wouldn't bring much of a profit.
Gotta go cuz I can't leave her alone. She's been in a lot of pain but seems much better today.
Hugs for Lucy and Crabby... what is going on over there. First you electicute here with the shock coller now you poison her. I could understand it if this was Webster but Lucy? I know it was an accident. I hope she pulls through OK.
Should I come visit sometime it sounds like treats are in order for Lucy.
Gareth, it's a long story but...it actually was my fault. In her entire two years of life, Lucy has never known a stranger. So when anybody comes she's thrilled to see them. Including....the Terminex man.
Wednesday late he came to spray for bugs and mice. Lucy had her nose in everything. Giving him kisses and then closely checking his work. I asked him if that stuff could hurt her and he said, "no, she's fine." Turned out she wasn't. I'm sure he had no idea. He's a very nice guy. Lucy likes to roll her face in odd smelling stuff and I'm afraid she may have done that. Nobody could have known except...me. I should have locked her up. I feel awful about it. She's so pitiful and doesn't leave my side.
Milky, this time, I may be deserving of losing my custody. That was horrible stupid of me. And she's paid dearly for the blunder.
This is much worse than super-gluing the popcicle stick to Smilin George's balls.
Barman, Yes you should come. At least to hold her down while I get the medicine in her ears. LOL! She's 88 pounds and according to the vet not a bit over-weight. sigh. When 88 pounds of dog does not want you putting medicine in her eyes and ears...it's a wrestling match bigger than anything the WWF can put on.
Lucy's sleeping now which is a nice relief. Her eyes are more open but she still has pink pussy stuff leaking out of them and she's still rubbing them every time she thinks I'm not looking. Sadly for her, I'm always looking.
So I do not know if Bob meant the your pets are bad or that they are being punished by being your pets but either way, cute.
I think you need two people. One person to bribe Lucy with food, and the other to apply the medicine. I would think that would work just fine.
Oh Lucy, prime rib here... prim... I mean hot dogs here (as I take the prime rib for myself). :) Some things just can't be helped.
Deb, she's doing better. But her eyes are still oozing that pink gunk and she still rubs at them. It's constant battle between dog and woman unless she's sleeping.
Cazzie, whilst you're huggin her, could ya hold her down for me so I can get this blasted medicine in her eyes? Blasted beast is killing me.
Sign, when I get my vacation, Lucy is staying home. LOL! Would you believe I already had to replace her tube of medicine that was supposed to last 10 days? Good news is, my hands, arms, jeans and ankles will probably never get an infection.
Gareth, you just gave me the best idea...why don't you take her for awhile? She no trouble at all. (snicker snicker snicker)
Barman, On the eye thing all but one time we have used two people. This MOOSE of a dog seems to grow 5 more legs though when I do her ears alone. I have sore muscles I didn't even know were there.
G, true. Sadly, true. Bob has even started making popcorn just for her cuz he feels so sorry for her. LOL! It's pathetic around here.
Milky, this one's gonna do what all the other critters I've had before haven't been able to. She's gonna drive me all the way to the loon hatch.
She's still itchy. There's a blister on her eye lid now and I'm sore in places I didn't know I had from fussing with her to get medicine in her ears and eyes and keep her big fat feet from digging at them.
I LOVE IT when she's asleep! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.
How did this happen???
Poor Lucy :(
